Genesis FAQ’s

What is Genesis Renewal?
Genesis Renewal is a proactive approach to staying healthy and hydrated. We offer a full line of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that we administer with an IV. Utilizing an IV allows us to maximize the efficacy, bioavailability, and desired outcome in the fastest way possible. IV therapy is the only method for rapid, effective, and continued relief.
What do you offer?
GR offers therapy products for many different things. Simple hydration, Energy Boost, Muscle/Tissue Repair, Skin Complexion Improvement, Immunity Boosters, weight loss, fatigue, jet lag, trouble sleeping, mild to moderate nausea and vomiting, migraines, and more.
Do you accept Insurance?

Some of our treatments allow us to bill your private insurance for therapy. Those are currently – Nausea & Vomiting, Migraines.

Does it hurt?

When starting the IV, sometimes it can be moderately uncomfortable with an initial sting followed by some pressure. We take precautions to alleviate that pain as best as we can. We use a lidocaine numbing cream to help decrease the discomfort felt when establishing IV access. The administration of fluids and medications does not cause any further pain or discomfort.

Are there any side effects?

There is an inherent risk with any medication that you consume, whether it be orally or via intravenous therapy. Those risks are minimal with our line of products. Should you have an allergic reaction to anything that we give you, we do carry all necessary medications to counteract that reaction. Other issues that you could be faced with is infiltration of the IV site which is essentially the IV leaking fluid into the tissue surrounding the site, rather than directly into the bloodstream. When that occurs, we have protocols to follow to mitigate.

What should I expect during my appointment?
Your appointment will be very structured. You will receive a pre-appointment checklist letting you know who your clinician will be and how your appointment will go. Typically, we defer to the client for appointment preferences, much like a massage appointment. Should you want to receive your IV treatment in peace and quiet, our clinicians will be happy to oblige. Should you want an interactive clinician that keeps you company, just say the word!! We are all about your comfort.
What do I do if I need to reschedule my appointment?
We understand that life happens, should you need to reschedule we only ask that you let us know just as quickly as you can.
Am I allowed to eat or drink anything before/after or during my appointment?
Absolutely!! We would strongly discourage smoking however.
Are we limited to just in-home appointments or do you have a location?
We offer clinic sites at some of our partner practices routinely. We prefer to come to you because we find that it allows our customers to get the most out of their treatment without interrupting their day too much. However, we understand that some people may be uneasy about us coming into their home. Should that be the case, give us a call and we will let you know when our next clinic day is.
What is the age limit?
We have a soft age limit of 13 years old. Should you have a very active and healthy 11 or 12 year old highly committed to sports or training, we will consult with you about hydration therapy for them. For anyone younger than 14, please be prepared for us to contact your child’s pediatrician prior to his or her treatment. The safety of our customers is our top priority.
How long does the IV vitamin therapy last?
Research will tell you that IV vitamin therapy can last anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks, and we have found that to be pretty accurate in the customers we treat. Typically, it will depend on multiple factors and be customer specific. Some of those factors may be; are you vitamin deficient, are you significantly dehydrated, do you have a recurring issue that you are unaware of that causes you to quickly become vitamin deficient. Most typically the treatments last about a week, as far as you being able to tell a difference in how you feel.
Who administers the IV vitamin treatment?
All of our clinicians are highly experienced acute care Paramedic’s, RN’s, or APRN’s. All treatments are strictly protocol driven and 100% reviewed by our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jason Sims. All clinicians have undergone extensive training prior to being hired by our company and have extensive training through our company once they are hired. We take extreme pride in our employees, so that they will take extreme pride in the care and service they provide to you.
How often should I have an IV vitamin treatment?
We recommend that you make that decision once you have completed your first treatment and figure out how long the treatment lasts for you. Everyone is different (which is a good thing). We don’t want to try and upsell you on anything that you do not need. Only you will know your body and how it responds to the treatments you choose.
Does the IV cause bruising?
It certainly can cause bruising at the site. We do take every precaution to ensure that you do not suffer such an event. That includes continued training efforts, high quality equipment, and a little TLC for you as well.
Can you overdose on an IV vitamin treatment?
Technically, yes. You can overdose on any form of medication on the market. However, we do not dose any of our treatments in a fashion that would be cause for any concern about over-medicating or overdosing.
